Our Story

The Costello family has been in the storage business since 1986, opening their first facility in Sebastopol, California.

We purchased the Southpoint facility on Santa Rosa Ave. in 2010 and, after a recent management hiatus, we're back! We've been part of this vibrant community for a long time and, alongside a dedicated group of bilingual team members, we're happy to return to managing the day-to-day operations.

The connectedness, trust, and sense of community that runs through our local Latine neighbors deeply resonate with our family, and we look forward to bringing that to Southpoint.

Our office is once again fully staffed, bilingual and cross-trained so a knowledgeable, friendly person is always available and ready to help in Spanish and English.

Carmen Gómez

General Manager

With more than 30 years of experience in retail and customer service, I am excited to bring my knowledge, leadership, and passion for helping people to Southpoint Self-Storage.

Originally from El Paso, Texas, I was raised in a warm, welcoming family where friends and relatives could stop by at any time for cafecito and pan dulce. My family and culture have taught me the importance of hospitality, building genuine relationships, and making everyone feel at home.
My goal is to bring that same welcoming spirit to Southpoint Self-Storage by creating a friendly, helpful environment where every customer feels valued, respected, and confident that they’re receiving exceptional service.

For over 20 years, I have worked closely with the Costello family, and I've been a valued member of Southpoint Self-Storage for nearly 13 of those.

Throughout my career, I've contributed to projects ranging from everyday improvements to highly complex technology implementations. I approach each challenge as an opportunity to learn, innovate, and deliver high-quality solutions.
As a Mexican immigrant, I've built my professional path through dedication, hard work, and a constant commitment to excellence. My long-term partnership with the Costello family reflects a relationship built on trust, professionalism, and a shared commitment to the continued success of Southpoint Self-Storage.
